About Me

Hi, I’m Jessika! Thank you for being here! Not too long ago, I picked up a hobby flipping items from estate sale auctions. What started as “this is kind of fun” quickly turned into opening my own little business, HandmeDown LLC. At first, I planned to use my business license to buy bulk items and flip them. But I realized pretty quickly — that wasn’t fun. I didn’t want to run a liquidation store. I wanted something creative.

Around that same time, my FYP started feeding me endless videos about side hustles and making money from home. And I thought, why not? I’m a full-time working mom. I want more flexibility. I want to watch my kids grow. I’m willing to try something new if it means building a different future.

So I signed up for Amazon’s affiliate program and fell headfirst into the world of affiliate marketing. If you’ve ever gone down that rabbit hole… you know. Suddenly I’m learning about niches, algorithms, social growth strategies — things I had never even thought about before. I hadn’t posted on social media in years. I barely opened TikTok. And now I’m trying to “optimize content.” Wild. At first, I didn’t even know what my niche was. My life revolves around kids, being a mom, and working full time. That’s it. So I started there. Cleaning products, gadgets that save time, things that make life easier — because honestly, I’m exhausted and I love anything that helps. I forced myself to hit record. Awkward? Yes. Uncomfortable? Absolutely. But I did it anyway.

Somewhere along the way, I pulled out the Canon camera my mom gave me years ago — the one I shoved in a drawer because I thought my phone was “good enough.” Turns out, there’s something about actually trying that changes everything. What started as curiosity is turning into growth. I’m learning. I’m stepping outside my comfort zone. I’m connecting dots in my life that suddenly make sense. I’m watching doors open in ways I didn’t expect.

I don’t have it all figured out. Not even close. But I’m starting & that matters. This space is where I share what I’m learning: parenting, side hustles, product finds, financial lessons, and the messy middle of building something new while raising a family.

If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect time” to start something, this is your sign. Jump. Try. Record the video. Open the camera. Do something. You don’t have to have it all mapped out. You just have to begin. Welcome! I’m glad you’re here
